Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, is a prominent landmark in Jaipur, India, celebrated for its unique architecture and historical significance. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, this five-story palace is renowned for its intricate latticework windows (jharokhas) that allowed royal women to observe street festivals unnoticed. The palace, constructed of red and pink sandstone, boasts a distinctive honeycomb facade resembling the crown of Lord Krishna.
